2020/2021 Racing Calendar

The 2020/2021 Perth Kite Racing calendar is filled with social and competitive club racing, special events, state and national titles.

Jervoise Bay Sailing Club Championship Series

October 2021 - April 2022

The JBSC Club Championship Series forms the core of the PKR  summer racing program.   Racers can choose from 2 divisions with F1 completing 3 laps of the windward/leeward course and Freeride foil division (F2) completing 2 laps.

We invite all freeride kite foilers to come and have a go at racing in a fun and casual club environment.  Non members can try 3 races before joining up, however for insurance purposes you must be a member of any yacht club, including PKR ($60 per year).

For the 2022 season a Wing Foil division has been added, competing on the same windward leeward course as the club catamarans (shorter windward mark then the kites) with their own  start.

South of Perth Yacht Club Kite Foil Training

What better way to end the work day then to get your feet wet and send it on the swan river!  These are coached training sessions with on water support and post session debrief at South of Perth Yacht Club.  The sessions are open to a large range of rider skill levels, from those who are making the transition into racing to those training for a national title.  The drills are aimed at the intermediate level and individuals are encouraged to scale the intensity as required.

Briefing is via conference call at 4:00pm with riders on water ASAP afterwards from pre-designated launch spot.  Launch spots are decided based on the wind direction, typically Majestic point (NE, N, NW, W, WSW), Melville Beach (WSW, SW,S,SSE) and Attadale dog beach (SE, ESE, E, ENE).
