PKR CLUB FOIL
With the help of the Ron Tough Sailing Foundation, PKR recently purchased our first club foil. The aim of this foil is assist new club members to become competent KiteFoil racers.
CAN ANYONE USE THE PKR CLUB FOIL?
Yes, as long as you are a current PKR member and have a Kiteboarding Australia membership. However, all members must complete an application form and be approved by the PKR Committee, before taking possession of the foil.
The PKR Committee made the decision to purchase the PKR Club Foil with the assistance of the Ron Tough Sailing Foundation. The goal is to create new, competent KiteFoil racers. With this in mind, priority will be given to new members who have shown interest in competing regularly at PKR, State and National levels.
IS THE PKR CLUB FOIL HARD TO USE?
No. The PKR Club Foil is a 2018 North Speedster Foil, with North Freefoil Board and straps.
This is an easy to use freeride foil. This type of foil is widely used for learning the basics of kite foiling, and learning to perfect standard racing manoeuvres, such as foiling tacks and gybes.
The PKR Club Foil should shorten the learning curve between new kite foiler, and competent KiteFoil racer.
CAN I RACE ON THE PKR CLUB FOIL

While you won't be winning any championships on the PKR Club Foil, taking part in our Sunday racing is the best way to progress your riding, increase your water time and learn from those around you.
